Honeywell Chairman and CEO, Dave Cote, attended the International Economic Forum of the Americas: Conference of Montreal, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, to discuss major issues concerning economic globalization.
Cote was honored as the co-chair of the event, along with Patrick Pouyanne, President of the Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer for TOTAL. Executives from 250 international companies were present to facilitate agreements, offer business opportunities and provide access to unique insights from leading specialists.
During an interview, moderated by Michael Fortier, Vice-Chairman of RBC Capital Markets, Cote kept to the theme of innovating for growth and discussed competitiveness, US-China relations, and the manufacturing renaissance.
“Half of the world economy, not half the growth, is going to be coming from High Growth Regions, with a big part of it driven by China. So when I think about how do I have to make some of these investments, I really try to think about where’s the long-term growth is going to be. How do I place my assets and the dollars I invest in places that I feel pretty confident are going to grow over the next 20 years”.
