UNIONTOWN, Ohio—Securitas Electronic Security Inc. (SES) unveiled its new headquarters here on April 21 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house that included more than 100 guests, from community leaders and special dignitaries to business partners and SES customers. SES is part of Securitas, which announced this week the acquisition of an electronic security services company in Mexico from Diebold Nixdorf Inc.
“We are excited about the new state-of-the-art facility and having everyone in the same building for the first time,” SES president Tony Byerly told Security Systems News; he pointed out that prior to the renovation the monitoring operation and headquarters staff were in different buildings. “With the 50,000 square feet of space, we have been able to put all of our operations under one roof—the monitoring operations, the business operations, and all of the headquarters staff.”
He continued, “Building a new SES headquarters has always been more than just constructing a new facility with new walls, offices, furniture and equipment. It is a belief that companies succeed when their environment supports a transparent, collaborative and innovative culture where employees can focus on serving and meeting the needs of customers.”
The building has been completely renovated to reveal a contemporary new look that utilizes a mix of advanced technology and function designed to promote more intensive cross-team collaboration to ultimately enhance the SES customer experience. The facility features a completely new state-of-the-art monitoring operations center, service dispatch, technology solutions lab, technology evaluation lab, Engineering Center of Excellence hub and customer experience video collaboration center, as well as two new dedicated training facilities.
“What drove the look and feel was the standards that corporate Securitas has at its Parsippany, N.J., headquarters, and at the Stockholm, Sweden, headquarters,” said Byerly. “We followed the same template, and what is exciting about that is it is very open, so for conference rooms we have glass walls as opposed to solid walls, so there is a ton of transparency and openness. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the open design really creates a collaborative team-centric environment.”
The new headquarters houses approximately 250 associates in a variety of roles that support the company, including monitoring, service, installation and field operations, service dispatch, advanced remote support, finance, billing and collections, IT, legal, human resources, business development, marketing and sales, and executive leadership.
“This building is a shining example of SES’ future as one of the six protective services offered by Securitas,” said Byerly. “The real focus for us now is on commercial synergies and this opportunity for growth commercially is really focused on leveraging these six protective services across the entire customers base. So, it is that collaboration and providing a seamless one-stop shop for customers who may want to use multiple services that are available through Securitas.”
In addition to this new flagship facility, SES opened and operates several new regional offices across North America including New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Toronto as well as two new redundant data centers in Ohio and New Jersey.
Also announced, Securitas acquired Central de Alarmas Adler in Mexico from Diebold Nixdorf Inc., extending its footprint in Mexico and further strengthening its competence and knowledge within the electronic security services area, according to the announcement.Topic: Commercial and Systems Integrators Tags: Securitas Electronic Security, Securitas, Diebold Nixdorf, Tony Byerly
