BOCA RATON, Fla.—After several months of beta testing and several weeks of training, national systems integrator TycoIS’ 800-person sales force is now selling TycoIS’ first cloud video offering, Cloud Video.
“This offering is viable for every segment from small business to enterprise accounts,” Steve Leitz, TycoIS director of commercial sales, told Security Systems News.
Cloud Video, an Eagle Eye product, works with many analog and IP cameras. Customers can use existing cameras and can store all or some of their recorded video in the cloud. Cloud Video includes unlimited automatic software upgrades, is scalable and is ideal for managing multiple locations, according to TycoIS.
The Cloud Video solution is “really resonating” with beta customers, Leitz said. “Anytime you can leverage a customer’s existing investment and improve performance, you have a winning solution. That’s what this has done for us,” he said.
“The interface is user friendly and the capabilities of the VMS are very robust. Those two things plus the ability to integrate with other technology,” has impressed beta test customers, Leitz said.
One beta customer, a multi-location retail customer who has a mix of analog and IP cameras, noticed that the image quality of its analog cameras improved with Cloud Video, Leitz said.
TycoIS' entire sales force has been trained on selling Cloud Video, which is a video-as-a-service product. The product has been built into TycoIS’ CRM and estimating software. There are several pricing options and “it’s easy for salespeople to put a quote together,” he said.
Leitz said the sales force is excited “to bring another solution to existing customers who really need this service and the flexibility of onsite and offsite storage."
