PITTSBURGH—Vector Security, a provider of security and smart automation services to homes and businesses based here, recently announced multiyear partnerships with three National Hockey League teams—the company will be the “official security partner” of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes.
As part of the three-year sponsorship agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vector Security will receive in-arena sponsorship exclusivity in the home and business security categories, and is named the “Official Security Partner of the Pittsburgh Penguins” through the 2020-21 season.
Vector Security branding opportunities include LED and digital displays throughout the PPG Paints Arena, radio advertising on the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network and other promotional benefits such as an in-ice logo.
“Our roots originated in Pittsburgh and we have called the city home for more than 40 years,” Art Miller, vice president of marketing for Vector Security, said in the announcement. “We are honored to sponsor a team that is well-respected and shares similar attributes such as energy, drive and innovation. We are proud and excited to partner with the Pittsburgh Penguins to promote our collective brands side by side.”
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Vector Security will also receive branding and promotion opportunities at the Penguins’ UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex training center in Cranberry Township, Pa.
“We are proud to welcome Vector Security as the Official Security Partner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and I can even add a personal endorsement,” Terry Kalna, senior VP of sales and broadcasting for the Penguins, said in a prepared statement. “Vector Security has protected my home and family since I moved back to Pittsburgh, and the service they provide is unsurpassed. This is a perfect fit. The Penguins are excited to connect our fans and business partners with a unique Pittsburgh brand that shares our values of excellence, integrity and community service.”
For the Columbus Blue Jackets, Vector Security branding opportunities include LED and digital displays within the arena, radio advertising and other promotional benefits, such as dasher board signage. “Columbus represents one of our largest markets in Ohio and is a strong area of growth for us,” Miller said in the announcement.
Vector was also named the “Official Security Partner of the Carolina Hurricanes” through the 2020-21 season. Vector Security will receive dasher board signage and title sponsorship of the Hurricanes Siren Sounder feature as well as digital and social promotion, radio advertising and other benefits.
“We are very pleased to add Vector Security as our official security partner,” Don Waddell, team president and general manager for the Carolina Hurricanes, said in the announcement. “Vector Security shares our vision and commitment to excellence, and we look forward to a successful partnership for many years to come.”Topic: Commercial and Systems Integrators Tags: Vector Security, NHL, Art Miller, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins, Carolina Hurricanes, Terry Kalna, Don Waddell
